What does iris do?
iris uses the photos and information you provide to create a personalised workout programme. You can record workouts and track your progress in the iPhone app, with supported Apple Watch features.
Do I need an account for my first assessment?
No. You can get your first assessment without registering. Firebase still creates a pseudonymous technical identifier for authentication and usage limits, and that identifier may later be linked to your account.
What happens to my analysis photos?
Selected photos and your profile are sent to the iris server and the Google Gemini API to create or reassess your programme. The iris application server does not keep a permanent photo archive. The assessment and programme are separate records that can remain associated with you. See the privacy policy for the AI provider details.
Is cloud synchronisation required?
No. Cloud synchronisation is off by default. If you enable it, your profile, assessments, programme and progress records can be stored in Firebase. You can turn it off under Settings → Privacy choices to stop new uploads and request deletion of the cloud training copy.
How does iris use Apple Health and Apple Watch?
With the relevant connections and device permissions, iris may read heart rate, workouts and active energy. These values can become part of your workout history and, if cloud synchronisation is on, its cloud copy. Saving workouts to Apple Health is a separate choice.
Can I withdraw my privacy choices?
Yes. Use Settings → Privacy choices to withdraw health-data or AI consent or to turn off cloud synchronisation. Withdrawing consent stops related new processing, but does not automatically delete all existing local records or copies in Apple Health and other services.
How do I delete my account and data?
Start deletion under Settings → Account or Privacy choices and verify that you control the account. The process covers your sign-in account, iris-managed device and cloud records, account-linked consent records and usage counters. A paired watch may need to reconnect. Apple Health records, your photo library and content shared with other apps must be managed separately.
Who can use iris?
iris is intended for people aged 18 or over. The app relies on your age declaration and does not offer photo analysis or a workout programme to someone who declares that they are under 18.
